Writing…in Petra
Writing in Petra, your creative writing experience. Come for (1000 and) nine nights in spectacular Petra, the ancient Rose Red capital of the Nabatean Kingdom.
Start your 10-day, 9-night creative writing experience in Petra with a wine tasting evening sponsored by Zumot Organic Vineyards, followed by visits to Petra’s most famous monuments, and a two-night excursion to Lawrence of Arabia’s beloved Wadi Rum. Sample the flavors of the region with an evening of cooking and feasting on traditional Jordanian cuisine, a Bedouin dinner and music under the stars, a BBQ lunch beneath Aaron’s Tomb, and writing, writing, writing! Immerse yourself in daily writing workshops, and individual feedback sessions, all the while reflecting new experiences through your own narrative.
Workshops will be conducted by award-winning novelist and poet LeAnne Howe and Jim Wilson, archaeologist and creative nonfiction writer, along with other published authors.
